TLS – Boca Systems (TLS), with offices in the Netherlands (HQ), Germany, UK, Italy, Spain, Poland, Dubai, Chile and China is the largest distributor of Boca Systems Inc. Our core business is supplying thermal printers, tickets, printer spare parts and service contracts to theatres, museums, cinemas, leisure parks, stadiums, concert halls and ticketing networks.

For our Shanghai office in China we are looking for a new General Manager with a strong focus on Sales & Business Development in the ticketing industry. The focus will be on China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao initially but as we are expanding, your responsibilities may be expanded towards other countries in the region. You will report directly to HQ.



After you have successfully completed a 12 months trainee program at our HQ in Rotterdam, you will be located in China permanently.


Main Duties & Job responsibilities:

You will have overall responsibility for the entire General Management & Sales in the region. We expect increasing sales and turnover and increasing awareness of the company and the Boca brand. Management expects to receive a yearly detailed business plan. You will also need to explore new avenues and markets to increase sales and turnover. You should be implementing good customer services standards, thus maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and customer retention. Attend trade shows and conferences to keep up-to-date on changes and developments in the industry.


Sales Management

Achieve revenues, profitability, quality, speed of delivery and productivity targets as assigned

Ensure continuous market scoping initiatives and release of business proposals to targeted clients are pursued and ensure adequate supply of business prospects are in the pipeline

Contribute to overall team plan by generating revenue and/or cost savings ideas

Set up a thorough, long-term sales plan


Customer Service

Ensure customer service standards are implemented and enhanced as client expectations continue to evolve and change in the market place

Drive client satisfaction by providing insights and actionable recommendations during regular visits

Build and maintain ongoing relationships with the identified key persons within client organizations


Functional / Technical

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date knowledge on the printing and ticketing industry

Provide value-added analyses and respond to special requests

Recommend improvements in work processes within area of responsibility

Have a clear (technical) understanding of the functionalities of the product line


People Management

Establish a strong team environment focused on exceeding internal and external client requirements

Conduct consistent periodic coaching “work with-s” to observe team members with clients and provide feedback

Establish high standards of performance

A basic salary (depending on age, education and experience) which will be combined with a competitive bonus structure after you have successfully finalized your trainee program at our HQ in Rotterdam.



We need a flexible, representative, sales driven, independent and trustworthy team worker who is a Chinese native speaker (both Mandarin and Cantonese). Besides that, excellent knowledge of the English language is a must. You are good in presenting products, services, and ideas and are a strong negotiator. You handle pressure well. The right candidate has a minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar (commercial) role and a Bachelor education.
